A specialist private clinic in Derbyshire
Steeple Grange Dental Care has been providing a wide range of advanced services since 1993, mostly on behalf of general practice dentists who refer their patients to us. We offer our skills and extensive experience for the management of complex cases across Derbyshire.
Our specialists and surgeons are all highly qualified and well-respected in their fields. Most have been or continue to be involved in teaching, and some have treated patients at prestigious university teaching hospitals in the UK, Europe and America. We place an emphasis on team dentistry at the Steeple Grange practice, so that a wide range of expertise can be focused on any individual patient's needs.
The practice has both private dentists and specialist dentists who offer minor oral surgery to both NHS and private patients as well as implants, crowns and bridges, braces (fixed and clear) and gum disease, all in a friendly and welcoming environment, with complementary refreshments and Wi-Fi while you wait. If you’re a nervous patient, our dentists and nurses are qualified to deliver sedation.

We’re in Wirksworth, a market town in the Derbyshire Dales. You can find us on Steeple Grange, the main thoroughfare through town. We have a patient car park and there’s plenty of street parking too.

Maxine joined the team at Steeple Grange in June 2010. After qualifying as a dental hygienist at Guy’s Hospital, she worked in both private and NHS practices. Maxine has also qualified as a hypnotherapist, skills she can apply to her work with nervous patients.

Julie qualified as a dental nurse in 1980 before re-training as a hygienist. She has worked at Steeple Grange Dental Care since it first opened in 1993, and as such, is our longest-serving member of staff.

A safe and effective way to whiten your smile – either at the practice or at home.
Whitening can be an important part of a smile makeover. We always check the suitability of your teeth, as it may not be recommended for some patients with high sensitivity. It’s important to know that we may not be able to treat all of your teeth: whitening can’t alter the colour of fillings, crowns, veneers, for example. Your dentist can explain and suggest any options open to you.
We do understand that some people really struggle with dental treatment. But we have lots of ways to help put you at ease. Please just tell us how you feel and what worries you, and then we can work together to decide on the right approach.
Generally we recommend twice yearly check-ups every six months. However, this varies on a case by case basis. Your Bupa Dental Care dentist will talk to you about when and how often we need to see you.
