Peaceful garden views from every room
This gorgeous Victorian villa once belonged to the Cadbury family. Despite being fully modernised, it still has original period features like high ceilings and huge bay windows that let the light pour in.
Great places to socialise, enjoy an activity or have quiet time
Although we’re just three miles from St Albans town, we have a wonderful setting and lots of outdoor space. So we like to spend time outdoors, especially in summer. We also bring lots of pretty flowers in from the garden.

The two lounges, quiet lounge, and bright and airy dining room ensure there are many spaces for residents to relax in.
Wonderful grounds
Our 13 acres of pretty landscaped gardens, statues, and big patio shaded by a creeper ensure there are loads of places to stroll or sit.
Places to welcome new friends and welcome old ones
We have a number of lounges and sociable seating areas for residents to spend time catching up with friends and family.
There’s no typical day at Tenterden House, but we arrange plenty to do, both here at the home as well as out and about.
Keep fit and healthy with gentle armchair exercises
From the comfort of their armchair, residents can still maintain a healthy level of fitness.
Lots of special interests
Residents can get involved as much or as little as they like with our range of activities. We have singers, quizzes, knit and natter, chair aerobics, art club to name a few.

We will always help our residents in pursuing their favourite hobbies and aim to accommodate whatever they need.

She participated in activities both in the activities room and also whilst in her own room, of her choice. She loved live music and Tenterden House has an excellent range of singers and musicians of all genres who entertain the residents."
